ASSCID CPD Day at ADX Sydney 2026
Managing patients with complex medical, behavioural and disability-related needs is becoming part of everyday practice. The ASSCID CPD Day at ADX Sydney 2026 is designed to provide practical, evidence-based approaches that clinicians can apply across a range of care settings.
Presented by the Australian Society of Special Care in Dentistry (ASSCID) in partnership with the Australian Dental Industry Association (ADIA), this program forms part of the official ADX CPD stream and features expert speakers across clinical, educational and service delivery domains in Special Care Dentistry.

Important: All attendees must also register free of charge for ADX Sydney. This is required for entry to the exhibition hall and access to the ASSCID CPD session.

Supporting Complex Patients: Practical Approaches Across Special Care Dentistry
Presentations will explore clinical, behavioural, medical and system-based considerations when caring for patients with disability, chronic illness or additional needs, with a focus on practical strategies relevant across a wide range of practice settings.

A/Prof Kumar will discuss silver fluoride and silver diamine fluoride use in paediatric dentistry, together with the “Steps to Smiles” chronic disease management program operating across NSW Local Health Districts.

This session will present a newly developed, consensus-based curriculum framework designed to improve preparedness and capability in Special Needs Dentistry for oral health practitioners.
